Ottawa Canada, September 11, 2006 – Unlimi-Tech Software
is pleased to announce that RAIN Networks Brazil has chosen
FileCatalyst Enterprise Edition as their standard for reliable
data transfer for the digital cinema. Unlimi-Tech’s
FileCatalyst® solution has been fully integrated into
the RAIN distribution workflow allowing RAIN Networks to reliably
deliver independent cinema via satellite, cable and DSL to
more than 120 locations across Brazil, USA and United Kingdom.
Rain Networks required a solution to combat increased file
sizes, harsh network conditions and resulting in reliability
issues. Unlimi-Tech software’s FileCatalyst® solution,
which is based on Digital Fountain’s Raptor Code, provides
this much-needed reliability, acceleration and security
“We tested a number of products and decided on FileCatalyst
from a company and technology perspective. A major part of
our decision was finding a company willing to work with us
to develop a solution that specifically meets our needs. With
Unlimi-Tech, we were able to work directly with the technical
team and they made sure our requirements were addressed“
said Fernando Fortes, Technical Manager Rain Networks.
“We are extremely excited to be part of the RAIN Network
solution in delivering digital cinema around the world. This
further demonstrates our ability to deliver an award winning
application that not only meets our clients needs but exceeds
them. Our solution allows easier, faster and cheaper distribution
of movies through a digital network than the traditional method.
Regardless of network performance, our solution overcomes
the shortcomings of poor networks to guarantee delivery to
the cinema”. Said Chris Bailey, CEO Unlimi-Tech Software
