Ottawa Canada, June 8, 2005
– Unlimi-Tech today unveiled, FileCatalyst, a
software solution designed to increase file transfer
speeds on IP networks resulting in cost savings for
the Enterprise.
The Java based software is
powered by underlying technology from Digital Fountain
Inc., the leader in advanced Forward Error Correction
(FEC) coding technology. Chris Bailey, CTO of Unlimi-Tech,
commented “the Digital Fountain raptor codes not
only allow us to solve file transfer issues for our
customers, but extends the range of our products into
new markets.”
FileCatalyst overcomes the
issue of slow file transfers on networks with high latency
or packet loss, with speeds that are up to 30 times
faster than FTP. The Java-based software plug-in, with
easy to navigate interface, provides for seamless integration
into existing work flows, saving organizations time,
money and resources. FileCatalyst is available for Linux,
Solaris, and Windows.
“Unlimi-Tech has done
a great job of acting quickly to capitalize on market
needs and has architected a great product” stated
