Relocation

Inside Sales Representative
About the Position
Join a team that is shaping the way businesses perform file transfers. We build software that enables companies to fully optimize and automate their file transfer workflow. FileCatalyst is looking for an energetic and personable Inside Sales Representative.
Position Description
This is an inside sales position to be located in the Ottawa, Canada. We are looking for an energetic, trustworthy, performance-oriented individual who exudes the conviction needed for pre-sales / inside efforts (researching leads, mastering a complex value proposition, and outbound calling). You will report directly to the Vice President of Sales, and often be working with other members of support and sales staff team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead management duties
- Research and follow-up on existing leads via phone and email
- Obtain lead requirements and recommend which FileCatalyst features or products would best benefit their situation
- Schedule and perform software demos via Webex or GoToMeeting
- Provide pre-sales technical support
- Update lead and pipe line information within our CRM solution
- Additional duties may include: Monitor and respond to inquiries on the FileCatalyst “Live Chat” line
- Work in conjunction with the sales team, to develop and/or enhance selling tools and participate in customer training sessions via web conferences and personal communication
- Work at trade shows in the US and Europe
Measurements of Success
- Lead Management, qualification / transition to demonstration and/or renewed discussion
- Your technical knowledge of the FileCatalyst Solution
- Your Ability to efficiently explain the problem and the value proposition FileCatalyst brings to the table
- Lead Volume, X amount of leads contacted each day
- Your ability to perform a smooth product demonstration based on the lead’s requirements
Position Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or college diploma AND 3 years experience in IT
- Experience with technology sales OR pre-sales technical support
- Excellent understanding of network concepts and products, including: TCP/IP, FTP, HTML, Firewalls and configuring server applications
- Self-starter; demonstrated ability to excel with minimal supervision.
- Must demonstrate above average ability to communicate in English via email and on the phone
- Must be able to effectively communicate at technical AND business levels.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Salesforce.com system
- Ability to multi-task, rationalize responsibilities and establish suitable priorities.
- Ability to show flexibility and leadership skills.
- Web design skills including: Java Applets, HTML, JavaScript and CSS
- Speak a second language

Java developer
We are looking for a fast-learning, highly independent individual to join our team, contributing to development of our file transfer applications (FileCatalyst Direct, Webmail and Workflow).
Primary Objectives & Responsibilities
- Provide 3rd-level support for clients
- Report, track and fix bugs
- Introduce necessary code changes to add small features or to fix bugs.
- Help with defining of requirements for new features.
- Perform setup and duplication of reported issues, based on information gathered from the client.
- Provide technical support to the Sales team during the sales cycle
Term: Full Time Permanent (40 hours per week)
Salary: TBD, commiserate with experience

Required
- Completion of University degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Must have at least 2 years of relevant work experience.

- Web development experience (CSS, JavaScript, Java Applets, PHP, HTML).
- SQL and Database knowledge (MySQL, HSQL, SQL Server).

- Cross-platform experience (Windows Server, Linux, Solaris, Mac OS)
